A: If you’re in need of copy, you and I will jump on a free 10-15 minute call via Zoom where we’ll discuss your copywriting needs. If we feel like we’re a good fit for each other, I’ll suggest we start off with a small Test Project. I’ll send you a proposal and contract to review. If you decided to move forward, you can sign the proposal for your Test Project. If you have any questions about your proposal or would like anything changed, I’m always just an email away.
A: I require 50% of the project cost to be paid upfront after the contract is signed. This acts as a deposit. This places you in my queue and I’ll get started working on your project.
The remaining 50% is due when I send you the first draft of your project, Once you receive the first draft, I’ll prompt you to pay the remaining 50%. Once you receive the first draft of your project and pay the remaining 50% balance in full, you can review the piece and make any suggestions or edits, if needed. This process holds both of us accountable, ensuring you get your project, and that I don’t just take the money and run.
A: All projects come with *one (1) round of revisions where you can make comments and suggest any changes to your first draft.
A: Any and all work I create for you will be your property after you’ve paid in full. I won’t hold any rights to it. I’m essentially a ghostwriter — meaning I’m writing for you on your behalf. My name will not be anywhere on the work I create for you.
A: I create all projects in a Google Doc using Google Drive. I will send you a link to your project. Google Docs tracks changes, prevents draft confusion by updating in real-time and makes it extremely efficient for you to copy and paste your project into the back end of your website. This is essential for all the SEO formatting to remain intact.
Unlike Microsoft Word, Google Docs automatically saves everything into a Google Drive cloud, saving changes in real-time.
A: I only create copy. You (or your website designer) will upload your completed project to your website, landing page platform (like Leadpages, Unbounce, or Click Funnels), or anywhere else it’s intended. I don’t go in and make any changes to the back end of your website unless we’ve previously discussed this.
Simply copy the project that I created for you in a Google Doc, and paste it into the correct area on the back end of your site. This ensures that all the SEO formatting remains in place. If you need coaching on how to operate the back end of your site, I can refer you to a colleague.
A: If your project is SEO optimized, then no. For SEO purposes, I highly recommend against this. For anything that’s searchable by a search engine, I recommend you don’t post anything that’s SEO-optimized in multiple spots. This is because Google will flag it as duplicate content (aka plagiarism) which will hurt your SEO rankings.
You wouldn’t plant a rosebush in your front yard, just to dig it up a few weeks later and plant it in a pot in your back yard, would you? No! Let your SEO-optimized project “take root” in one place only so that Google’s robots can properly crawl it and index it. This will help you rank higher organically.
As a good rule of thumb, never duplicate content. Instead, you can link back to the place where your project “lives,” such as on your website or online store.
